Title: USCG Cutter Mackinaw

I had the opportunity to tell the story of the US Coast Guard’s new Icebreaker “Mackinaw”. We went out in January to see how much ice the vessel would plow through before it stopped. It never even slowed down. I was able to shoot from both the cutter as well as the helicopter. What an amazing weekend and fun story to tell.

This from a trip to one of my favorite places in the world. Errington’s Wilderness Lodge in Northern Ontario. Wanna get off the grid, for real? This is the place to do it! A few years back I had the opportunity to take a trip to Glacier Bay Alaska, with stops at Juneau and Haines. It was an incredible trip where I filmed segments of my “Wild Weekend Adventures” TV Show. I’ll never forget the experience. I thought I would share some of the still photos from the journey.

The Detour Reef Lighthouse is the only lighthouse in Michigan that houses humans. For a fee guests can spend the night and help restore this beautiful icon. I photographed this feature for the Pure Michigan campaign.
