Title:   “ACCIDENTAL CONSERVATIONIST”

DOCUMENTARY

PRODUCER / EDITOR / DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Commissioned by renowned photographer and conservationist Chrystina Geagan, this project was produced in partnership with the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority to create The Accidental Conservationist. The documentary tells the unlikely story of a talented, unorthodox entrepreneur whose mission was to raise global awareness for endangered species in some of Africa’s most remote regions.

Our production pushed the limits of documentary filmmaking, demanding extreme physical endurance, mental resilience, and innovative filming techniques in highly remote conditions. Cultural differences in animal treatment, limited access to medical services, nutritional challenges, language barriers, and the realities of working far from infrastructure all presented significant obstacles. Through careful planning, adaptability, and perseverance, we navigated these challenges and delivered a powerful, visually striking documentary that stands as both a conservation milestone and a testament to the limits of immersive film production.
